Three Types of Properties for Rent

If you are looking to move into a residential rental property, figuring out what kind of property might be daunting. For instance, do you need an apartment or townhouse? Should you be looking to live in a village or residential tower?

There are so many variations on properties, too. For example, townhouses can have one story, or two. Residential towers can be very tall. Villas can be very good if you have a large family.

The process of figuring out what type of property you should rent can be confusing.  Here is our guide to the most common types of dubai properties for rent and where they will be located.

Residential Tower Apartment

Usually located in City

A residential tower apartment, as the name implies, is in a residential tower. The tower will usually be in the city. Some of the residential towers, such as the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, will spiral high into the air.

This maximizes social interaction you can have with others. You will almost certainly run into someone from every walk of life as you travel to and from your job. You will never run into the same story twice, and you can add your own experience to the thriving community.

You will also get many perks. Sometimes, there are retail outlets on the first floor that you will have access to. Other amenities you will be granted include a gym, sauna, and swimming pool.

Residential towers are usually not typically found in the United States, however, so if you want the full Residential tower experience, you will have to travel abroad if you live in the United States.

Townhouse

Usually located in Quiet Community

A townhouse is usually a small one or two-story house that has the requirements that you need. For example, a townhouse might only have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, it is spacious. You will have plenty of room for your family.

The main drawback to a townhouse is that it is usually in a quiet community, away from the center of town. You will either need a car or be prepared to walk at least an hour to get into town.

The main bonus of a townhouse is if you have kids. When you have kids, you can raise them in a quiet area. You will also likely run into other families that have kids that are the same age as you.

You will also get a few perks. The first one is that you will usually have access to community centers, pools, and gardens. The other is that you will experience a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone else and will help if you need it.

Village Apartment

Usually Located in Village

A village apartment is usually a one-bedroom apartment, though there could be other sized apartments such as studio and two or three-bedroom apartments. These are usually a little smaller than others and will have you live on top of a restaurant.

The benefits of the village apartment are immense. In the right kind of village, it is like living in a giant family. You will also be in walking distance of all the main attractions of the village. A village apartment is perfect if you like to socialize and do not have kids yet.

The major disadvantage of a village apartment is that the nightlife is very loud. If you do not like loud noise, you will want a village apartment that is just slightly off the main concourse of the village. In my case, I am across from only one bar. This cuts back on the noise instead of being in the middle of the town, where there are three bars that close at night.

Conclusion

Living in a residential tower, a village apartment, or a townhouse all have their benefits. Whether you are trying to raise a family or wanting to live on your own or with a spouse, these apartments will be perfect for you regardless of your walk of life.
