Types Of Flowers That Are Easy To Cultivate All Summer Long

Gardening aspirations cannot reach their pinnacle if you fail to cultivate flowers. For flower enthusiasts across the globe, the visual of a thriving orchard is what gives them the validation they deserve. It can be a tough task to select seedlings that won’t fall prey to the harshness of climate or a lack of soil nutrition.

Keeping the fragility of flowers in mind, the first thing to decide is what flowers to plant. These flowers should both display scintillating colors in your garden, and be easy to cultivate. After careful evaluation of diverse flower-seed variants, the most workable flowers that we have found are called Annuals. As the name suggests, these live their entire life in one season, which means that from seed to flower, and then dying off to disperse more seeds- every phase is completed within the same season.

Annuals include marigolds, zinnia, and sunflowers. Due to their short-lived life often at times, you can run out of flowers to use on an important occasion such as a wedding ceremony, birthday, or any other event for that matter that requires basic decor, and in such a situation you can still find some at retail flowers west Hollywood. Here are some gardening tips for specific flower types.

Marigolds- Easiest To Cultivate

These are the easiest to grow from flower to seed. Boasting a bright orange and yellow color, a display of these in your garden will woo any house guest. What makes them sturdy is their ability to resist insects. After selecting the specie that you want to plant depending on the size and color requirements, dig six inches into the soil to leverage seeds.

After that, it is time to place marigold seeds, lightly with faint strokes of the fingertip, and then cover with a layer of soil. Once sowed, water the soil thoroughly, making sure that the pressure of water is not rigorous enough to displace the seeds. You will witness the first appearance of beautiful flowers within a few weeks.

Zinnias- A little more Complicated than Marigolds

Zinnias are a unique breed of flowers. They have a dome shape, with a small bloom and vibrantly colored petals, that butterflies adore. Where Marigolds can be transplanted if need be, Zinnias cannot so make sure you start with a fresh batch of seeds.

The cultivation process is identical to those of Marigolds, but careful attention needs to be given to the distance between seeds. The standard gardening practice is to ensure the separation of a foot between seedlings. Use a light brushing of liquid fertilizer for extra nutrition, and these will bloom within a few weeks’ time.

Sunflowers- Cover Them From Birds

All of us stand witness to the beauty of a sunflower art a humble brown center with big daisy-like petals, that give off a sharp yellow color. Sunflowers attract a lot of birds and insects, so you need to protect the seeds with protective netting to keep unwanted guests at bay. You should grow these directly in the garden, by sowing them almost one inch deep and half a foot apart. With a conservative application of fertilizer, sunflowers bloom in a couple of weeks.

Plant With Confidence

With focused diligence and a little patience, getting a blooming flower garden is easy. Within no time, you will have a display of attractive buds that will both embellish your gardening legacy and increase the value of your house.
